Storyteller Art Card Deck (33 cards) — Limited Edition, Handmade in England
Limited edition storyteller art card deck (33 cards), designed and made in England.
Produced in a small quantity and gathered with a simple vintage ribbon (styles vary), the deck arrives in a cloth sack for safekeeping when not on view, and includes a tri-fold pamphlet signed by Kate.
This is a vivid set of picture cards made from Kate Trafeli’s original abstract paintings. Each card was individually designed and boutique printed in England on heavyweight triple-card stock with a soft touch finish. The cards can stand upright on a mantel or shelf, forming a changing gallery. Highly tactile and a pleasure to handle.
Kate’s Storyteller cards draw on the long visual tradition of symbols for reflection and inward looking. They are neither tarot nor archetype cards in the traditional sense. Some carry faint single words added to the image: quiet prompts that can open a moment of attention. Viewers’ readings of Kate’s symbolist paintings have always been part of the work; this deck offers an accessible way to spend time with several pieces at close range.
Kate has not previously made prints of her works available and the set grew from a wish to gather images of paintings now dispersed around the world into something you can hold.
This is an artisan, limited-run print edition, not a mass-produced deck. The price reflects the edition’s scarcity, the quality of the materials, and local making.
